The 49ers landed square in the muddy middle: C+.

Nobody had Kenyatta Jackson Jr. this high, and it is not close. The 49ers reached 35 spots to get him at the Round 3 slot. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C+.

It is not that Thomas is a bad player; it is that the 49ers had louder needs to answer first. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Hit on Dillon Thieneman and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
