Draft Grade — Rams
Overall B
ValueB NeedB- TradesB FutureA
Best value of the weekend goes to the Rams for Fuller: B.

Every other box got a look, but running back did not. The Rams will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

On value alone, Fuller makes the weekend a net positive. If Zuhn III pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick49 Rnd2 Anthony Hill Jr.
Value with a capital V on Anthony Hill Jr. in pick No. 49, a genuine coup. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick61 Rnd2 Keith Abney II
Keith Abney II slipping to the 61st overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick62 Rnd2 Jake Slaughter
The board had Jake Slaughter higher than the 62nd pick, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick93 Rnd3 Zakee Wheatley
Zakee Wheatley slid further than he should have, and pick 93 is lovely value for the safety. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick94 Rnd3 Ja'Kobi Lane
Ja'Kobi Lane in Round 3, Pick 30 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick163 Rnd5 Aamil Wagner
No drama and no debate, Aamil Wagner went about where he belonged in the Round 5 slot. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick207 Rnd6 Sawyer Robertson
By-the-book stuff, Sawyer Robertson at the 207th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick232 Rnd7 Trey Zuhn III
They paid up for Trey Zuhn III at pick No. 232 when waiting would have done the job. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick251 Rnd7 Andre Fuller
They will replay Andre Fuller at No. 251 for years; that is how good the value is. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick252 Rnd7 Logan Taylor
They paid a round early for Logan Taylor in slot 252, more than the board wanted. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
