A franchise passer in Daniels headlines a A- weekend for the Patriots.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

Getting Colby where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The Thomas Jr. reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

A strong weekend's work, and a rare one to find this little fault with.
