Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Ravens: B-.

Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Ravens spent the 162nd overall pick on Dallen Bentley, a name the board had a full 31 spots lower. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 Makai Lemon
In the 14th overall pick they get a weapon on the perimeter. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick45 Rnd2 Caleb Banks
Caleb Banks in pick No. 45 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick80 Rnd3 Connor Lew
Somehow Connor Lew was still sitting there in No. 80, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick115 Rnd4 Will Lee III
By-the-book stuff, Will Lee III at Round 4, Pick 15 squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick154 Rnd5 Kaleb Proctor
They paid a round early for Kaleb Proctor in the 154th pick, more than the board wanted. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick162 Rnd5 Dallen Bentley
A wild overpay on Dallen Bentley in the Round 5 slot, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick173 Rnd5 Jalen Farmer
Jalen Farmer slid further than he should have, and No. 173 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick174 Rnd5 Xavier Nwankpa
They liked Xavier Nwankpa enough to skip the value, taking him in the Round 5 slot. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick211 Rnd6 Eli Heidenreich
They reached into another round for Eli Heidenreich, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It fills a real need, too.
Pick250 Rnd7 John Michael Gyllenborg
They took John Michael Gyllenborg at par in the 250th pick, which is nothing to complain about. The roster fit checks out.
Pick253 Rnd7 Adam Randall
Value said wait; Adam Randall in pick No. 253 says they were not listening. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
