The 49ers cashed the board's mistake on Haulcy: D-.

The 49ers lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.

Reaching for Saka left real value on the table behind him. The Kilgore pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback still on the board.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Landing Haulcy that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
