The Steelers won the night they stopped Lane from sliding. Grade: D.

The Steelers lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. Too much went sideways, and the D is the honest tally.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Barber pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at edge rusher and tight end. That Lane pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

They will need Reid to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
