There is conviction, and then there is this. The Steelers took Drew Allar a full 61 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

Getting Lane where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The Steelers indulged a want in Brailsford while a need in edge rusher and tight end stayed open. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
