Draft Grade — Packers
Overall

ValueB-
NeedB
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Packers won the night they stopped Hunter from sliding. Grade: B-. Call it larceny. Lee Hunter sat on the board until Round 3, Pick 31, and the Packers did not need to be asked twice. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Every board in the league had Hobbs lower, and that gap is the story. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick52
Rnd2
Gabe Jacas
They went early on Gabe Jacas in slot 52, and the value did not follow. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick95
Rnd3
Lee Hunter
The board fumbled Lee Hunter all the way to pick No. 95, and they scooped it up. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick120
Rnd4
Julian Neal
They let Julian Neal come to them and pounced at pick 120. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick125
Rnd4
J.C. Davis
No drama and no debate, J.C. Davis went about where he belonged in No. 125. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick160
Rnd5
Ar'maj Reed-Adams
A offensive lineman of that caliber at the Round 5 slot is the definition of value, full stop. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick171
Rnd5
Bryce Boettcher
A clean, defensible pick in the 171st overall pick with a little surplus value in Bryce Boettcher. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick201
Rnd6
Pat Coogan
They did well to land Pat Coogan in the 201st pick, just ahead of his grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick236
Rnd7
Trey Zuhn III
Trey Zuhn III at Round 7, Pick 20 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It fills a real need, too.
Pick255
Rnd7
Daevin Hobbs
A premium they did not need to pay, Daevin Hobbs a notch or two before his time. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
