The Bills cashed the board's mistake on Haulcy: D.

The Bills put a flag in the ground for Pat Coogan, 33 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. A D that will need time and luck to look better.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.

Haulcy at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and running back is still a hole.
