If you want a masterclass in dealing, watch the Patriots, who turned every swap into a profit this weekend. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. They banked enough surplus on Speights to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Adding Bobby Okereke by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
