Brooks should have been long gone. The Patriots pounced, and earned a A-.

Call it larceny. Tahj Brooks sat on the board until slot 181, and the Patriots did not need to be asked twice.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Adding Fred Warner by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Trust the process, because this time the process plainly worked.
