More right than wrong for the Patriots, and a B to prove it.

The tape said wait; the Patriots did not. Spencer Rattler went at slot 68, a good 23 picks before the board was ready.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They banked enough surplus on Eichenberg to cover a lot of smaller sins. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
