A costly weekend of dealing drags the Eagles to a D.

Nobody had Nick Barrett this high, and it is not close. The Eagles reached 44 spots to get him at the Round 6 slot. The math is unkind, and the D follows.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The Wheatley pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
