It is a puzzling start. The Jets had cornerback, edge rusher and other spots to solve and reached instead for Anthony Hill Jr., a linebacker, at pick No. 49. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Durant value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
