Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Anthony Hill Jr. got past him. The Steelers do not have to explain a thing at pick No. 121. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They will need Foster to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

Job largely done: quarterback settled and 7 of 9 of the wish list covered. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
