Draft Grade — Bears

A franchise passer in Williams headlines a D- weekend for the Bears. If confidence were a draft strategy, the Bears would have aced it. Bucky Irving at pick 75 is 56 spots clear of where he belonged. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Caleb Williams is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.
On value alone, Mitchell makes the weekend a net positive.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.

In the 27th pick they get a potential shutdown corner. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick33

Quinyon Mitchell
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Quinyon Mitchell at slot 33 is the proof. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick41
Rnd2
Braden Fiske
Braden Fiske at the 41st overall pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick54
Rnd2
Zach Frazier
Zach Frazier in slot 54 is fair value, right on his grade. The roster fit checks out.
Pick75
Rnd3
Bucky Irving
Bucky Irving in pick No. 75 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
