Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall
B
ValueB-

FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Cardinals, and a B to prove it. Everything else got attention, and quarterback got none. That is a strange way for the Cardinals to leave a draft. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Haulcy. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick3
Rnd1
Francis Mauigoa
In No. 3 they get protection for the quarterback. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick34
Rnd2
Chris Johnson
A straight-up fair deal on Chris Johnson at the 34th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick65
Rnd3
A.J. Haulcy
They read the board right and A.J. Haulcy was the payoff at pick No. 65. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
