Draft Grade — Steelers
Overall

FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Steelers: B-. The Steelers torched the value chart for Taurean York, taking him 24 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. That Tyson pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick21
Rnd1
Jordyn Tyson
Value with a capital V on Jordyn Tyson in the 21st overall pick, a genuine coup. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick53
Rnd2
Garrett Nussmeier
They talked themselves into Garrett Nussmeier at pick No. 53, and the board did not agree. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick76
Rnd3
Austin Barber
Austin Barber in slot 76 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick85
Rnd3
Taurean York
A big swing on Taurean York at Round 3, Pick 21, well ahead of any board in the building. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick99
Rnd3
Sam Roush
They read the board right and Sam Roush was the payoff at No. 99. The roster fit checks out.
