Art DRAFTING FOR THEVikings
Draft Grade — Vikings
Overall

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Vikings: B-. There is a lot to like until you notice quarterback is still a hole. The Vikings never got to the one that mattered most. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
Coleman at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Safety was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
The back end got a real overhaul.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick18
Rnd1
Avieon Terrell
In the Round 1 slot they get a ballhawk on the outside at fair value. Need was not the driver here.
Pick49
Rnd2
Josiah Trotter
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Josiah Trotter. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick82
Rnd3
Jonah Coleman
Jonah Coleman slid further than he should have, and No. 82 is lovely value for the running back. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick97
Rnd3
Zakee Wheatley
A tidy bit of business in the 97th pick, where Zakee Wheatley graded well above the range. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
