If confidence were a draft strategy, the Patriots would have aced it. Jared Wiley at No. 224 is 187 spots clear of where he belonged. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The whole projection now runs through Jayden Daniels; hit there and everything else looks smarter. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Landing Powers-Johnson that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
