The Patriots fleeced the room on the phones and earned a A-.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Patriots came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Sanders.

Every board in the league had Mims lower, and that gap is the story. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.
