Schoepski DRAFTING FOR THEBills

Draft Grade — Bills
Overall

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Bills: B-. For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Bills walked out of the weekend still thin at offensive lineman, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons.
They are betting Height proves the room right and everyone else wrong. That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick26
Rnd1
Romello Height
In pick No. 26 they get a double-digit-sack hope, even if it was a touch early. A real need, handled.
Pick91
Rnd3
Deontae Lawson
Deontae Lawson at the 91st pick is money in the bank, a linebacker taken below his worth. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick126
Rnd4
Bryce Lance
Fair-plus on Bryce Lance, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick165
Rnd5
Kaleb Proctor
They paid sticker price for Kaleb Proctor in the Round 5 slot, and that is fine. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick168
Rnd5
Jalen Stroman
No drama and no debate, Jalen Stroman went about where he belonged in slot 168. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick220
Rnd7
Josh Moten
They let Josh Moten come to them and pounced at Round 7, Pick 4. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick228
Rnd7
Keyshaun Elliott
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Keyshaun Elliott at No. 228. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
