The 49ers put a flag in the ground for Dominic Zvada, 85 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. A F, plain and simple.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. Getting Fields where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
