Draft Grade — Ravens

FutureD+
A costly weekend of dealing drags the Ravens to a D-. The Ravens looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Dominic Zvada at the 253rd pick regardless, 51 picks early. Hard to defend, and the D- reflects that.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Ponds.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
Pick Analysis
Pick14
Rnd1
Carnell Tate
They took Carnell Tate at par in No. 14, which is nothing to complain about. The roster fit checks out.
Pick27
Rnd1
Kenyon Sadiq
In the 27th overall pick they get a matchup weapon at tight end, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick63
Rnd2
Jake Slaughter
Value with a capital V on Jake Slaughter in pick No. 63, a genuine coup. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick66
Rnd3
D'Angelo Ponds
A cornerback of that caliber at pick 66 is the definition of value, full stop. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick84
Rnd3
Elijah Sarratt
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Elijah Sarratt at Round 3, Pick 20. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick100
Rnd3
Logan Jones
Logan Jones at slot 100 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick125
Rnd4
Bishop Fitzgerald
A slide stopped in No. 125, with Bishop Fitzgerald worth more than the price. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick142
Rnd5
Jaeden Roberts
A straight-up fair deal on Jaeden Roberts at pick 142, value and slot in agreement. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick253
Rnd7
Dominic Zvada
This one needs a full-page explanation: Dominic Zvada in Round 7, Pick 37, miles early. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick255
Rnd7
Trey Zuhn III
Trey Zuhn III in the Round 7 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
