FutureB-
Horton should have been long gone. The Vikings pounced, and earned a B. The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Tory Horton, slot 139, roughly 32 picks past where he belonged.
A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. The trade work was a quiet net positive. Safety was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick31
Rnd1
Tyler Warren
In Round 1, Pick 31 they get a matchup weapon at tight end, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick63
Rnd2
Azareye'h Thomas
Azareye'h Thomas at the 63rd pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick97
Rnd3
Sebastian Castro
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Sebastian Castro at pick No. 97. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick139
Rnd5
Tory Horton
The board fumbled Tory Horton all the way to No. 139, and they scooped it up. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick187
Rnd6
Kalel Mullings
They will replay Kalel Mullings at slot 187 for years; that is how good the value is. It fills a real need, too.
Pick226
Rnd7
Jermari Harris
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jermari Harris. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
