The rest of the league had time to spare on Miles Frazier; the Bears did not wait, grabbing him 65 spots ahead at slot 148.
The Walker value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
Wyatt Milum in pick 11 is fair value, right on his grade. It fills a real need, too.
They robbed the room for Princely Umanmielen here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Nick Emmanwori at the Round 2 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Jack Sawyer in the 73rd pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Miles Frazier in Round 5, Pick 10, miles early. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They paid a round early for Jared Wilson in the 203rd overall pick, more than the board wanted. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
David Walker in slot 226 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Garrett Dellinger at the 244th pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. The roster fit checks out.
