The rest of the league will want that one back. T.J. Sanders tumbling to the Cowboys in Round 7, Pick 32 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 13th pick they get a premier pass rusher at fair value.
They will replay Ashton Jeanty at No. 44 for years; that is how good the value is. The roster fit checks out.
Jalon Walker at the Round 3 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Walter Nolen in slot 148 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Tre Harris at Round 5, Pick 31 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They barely believed it either: Jahdae Barron still on the board at pick 170. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Jihaad Campbell in the 171st overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Somehow Wyatt Milum was still sitting there in pick No. 189, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Taking Quinshon Judkins in the 209th pick is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A interior defensive lineman of that caliber at the Round 7 slot is the definition of value, full stop. A need, and now a little less of one.
