Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Packers came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.
However the rest shakes out, Estime at that price is a win they earned. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 28th pick they get a premier pass rusher. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A quiet steal in pick 41: Jordan Morgan for less than the market said. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Chop Robinson slipping to the 57th overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Good price on Junior Colson in Round 3, Pick 25, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Christian Haynes is a better player than pick No. 92 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They robbed the room for Audric Estime here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Kris Abrams-Draine at Round 4, Pick 28 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
By-the-book stuff, Cole Bishop at the 135th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. It adds depth where they could use a little.
