Strengths
- Strong hands to make plays on the ball, effective blitzer who shows well-coached technique and awareness.
- Flashes intimidating attitude and will crush tiptoeing receivers across the middle.
- In the run game, he’s aggressive coming downhill and a sure tackler.
- Turk is aggressive in run support, with a physical mentality, but struggles to break down space and leaves production on the field.
- Tough and scrappy with forceful nature to be physical at all levels of the field. Has good bulk on his frame to be aggressive in run support.
- Does a nice job using his eyes to read and react quickly. Smart, disciplined defender who makes plays on the ball and contesting throws.
Weaknesses
- Lacks the quick feet to mirror underneath and is slow to transition out of his backpedal and close on the ball
- Has only average long speed and lacks the natural change-of-direction skills and vertical ability to play blanket man coverage. Lacks natural explosion to make up for false steps.
- Plays out of control too often, laying a lot of big hits but also missing a lot of tackles along the way. Turk also needs to do a better job reading routes when sitting back as a single-high safety.
