Draft Grade — Bears
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB- TradesA+ FutureB+
Nobody dealt better than the Bears this weekend: B+.

Boards are made to be trusted, and the Bears shredded theirs for LaDarius Henderson. He came off 40 spots early, and the room will hear about it.

Getting Marshall Jr. where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast.

They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick4 Rnd1 Brock Bowers
No drama and no debate, Brock Bowers went about where he belonged in pick No. 4. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick15 Rnd1 JC Latham
In the 15th overall pick they get an anchor for the offensive line. A real need, handled.
Pick44 Rnd2 Cooper DeJean
Cooper DeJean in the 44th pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick68 Rnd3 Brian Thomas Jr.
Brian Thomas Jr. at No. 68 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick104 Rnd4 Graham Barton
They paid sticker price for Graham Barton in the Round 4 slot, and that is fine. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick132 Rnd4 Adisa Isaac
Adisa Isaac at Round 4, Pick 32 is money in the bank, a edge rusher taken below his worth. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick141 Rnd5 Jason Marshall Jr.
The board fumbled Jason Marshall Jr. all the way to slot 141, and they scooped it up. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick190 Rnd6 Gabe Hall
Gabe Hall at pick No. 190 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the interior defensive lineman. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick225 Rnd7 LaDarius Henderson
They reached into another round for LaDarius Henderson, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It fills a real need, too.
