Powerful DRAFTING FOR THETexans
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Texans
Overall

FutureB-
Larceny in the 241st overall pick lands the Texans a B-, Gordon II and all. The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Texans watched Ollie Gordon II slide 73 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.
They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They will need Booker to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Tyler Booker
In pick No. 25 they get a long-term starter on the line, though they paid up to get him.
Pick57
Rnd2
Tyleik Williams
They took Tyleik Williams at par in Round 2, Pick 25, which is nothing to complain about. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick89
Rnd3
Colston Loveland
They will replay Colston Loveland at the Round 3 slot for years; that is how good the value is. The roster fit checks out.
Pick126
Rnd4
Kevin Winston Jr.
They robbed the room for Kevin Winston Jr. here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick164
Rnd5
Smael Mondon Jr.
Somehow Smael Mondon Jr. was still sitting there in the 164th pick, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick241
Rnd7
Ollie Gordon II
Ollie Gordon II in the 241st overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
