The tape said wait; the Texans did not. Blake Watson went at the Round 7 slot, a good 41 picks before the board was ready.

That offensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but offensive lineman.
