The Texans did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Texans reached some 60 spots for Jordan Jefferson, and value like that does not grow back. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

The McKinstry value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. Spending an early pick on cornerback with edge rusher, offensive lineman and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
