You build a draft on nights like this. Kris Abrams-Draine had no business being available in pick No. 123, and the Texans did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. If Owens pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
