Nobody else had Nelson Ceaser anywhere near the 127th pick. The Texans did, by 38 spots, and that gap is the whole story.

The Mitchell pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. It is not that Sainristil is a bad player; it is that the Texans had louder needs to answer first.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
