Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Johnny Dixon got past him. The Texans do not have to explain a thing at No. 247. No fireworks, but a solid B.

Every board in the league had Culp lower, and that gap is the story. It is not that Sainristil is a bad player; it is that the Texans had louder needs to answer first. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
