Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB FutureB-
The Eagles let Goncalves fall and pounced. Final grade: B.

The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Matt Goncalves, No. 126, roughly 20 picks past where he belonged. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Nate Wiggins
In Round 1, Pick 22 they get a potential shutdown corner. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick50 Rnd2 Kamren Kinchens
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Kamren Kinchens at No. 50 is the proof. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick58 Rnd2 Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
No edge and no loss on Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in the Round 2 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick97 Rnd3 Malachi Corley
A wide receiver of that caliber at the 97th pick is the definition of value, full stop. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick126 Rnd4 Matt Goncalves
They barely believed it either: Matt Goncalves still on the board at slot 126. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick137 Rnd5 Cedric Gray
Cedric Gray in pick 137 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick163 Rnd5 Braelon Allen
Braelon Allen in pick No. 163 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick178 Rnd6 LaDarius Henderson
LaDarius Henderson slid further than he should have, and the 178th overall pick is lovely value for the offensive lineman. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick243 Rnd7 Taulia Tagovailoa
A quiet steal in the 243rd overall pick: Taulia Tagovailoa for less than the market said. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
