The Commanders turned the phones into found money: B+.

Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Commanders spent the Round 7 slot on Thor Griffith, a name the board had a full 72 spots lower. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

The Thornton Jr. value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The phones were where this weekend was really won.

It is not that Moore is a bad player; it is that the Commanders had louder needs to answer first. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
