Good, not great, for the Packers: B-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Packers did exactly that with Darius Robinson in the 88th overall pick.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They will answer for taking safety early while quarterback, tight end and other spots went begging. The Wilson pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Quinyon Mitchell
In the 25th pick they get a lockdown presence outside. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick41 Rnd2 Kamren Kinchens
Kamren Kinchens at Round 2, Pick 9 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the safety. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick57 Rnd2 Jonah Elliss
A tidy bit of business in the 57th overall pick, where Jonah Elliss graded well above the range. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick88 Rnd3 Darius Robinson
A wild overpay on Darius Robinson in pick 88, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick91 Rnd3 Roman Wilson
Roman Wilson slipping to No. 91 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick126 Rnd4 Sione Vaki
They zigged when the board said zag, taking Sione Vaki at safety with quarterback, tight end and other spots open.
Pick168 Rnd5 Isaiah Davis
Isaiah Davis at the Round 5 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick203 Rnd6 Tanor Bortolini
Tanor Bortolini at Round 6, Pick 28 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick216 Rnd6 Christian Jones
Christian Jones is a better player than pick No. 216 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick243 Rnd7 Isaac Guerendo
Isaac Guerendo in slot 243 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick251 Rnd7 Donovan Jennings
They reached a country mile for Donovan Jennings at No. 251, and the board is aghast. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
