There is reaching, and then there is Gino Garcia at the 227th overall pick. The Browns jumped the board by 60 and dared it to prove them wrong.

However the rest shakes out, Barton at that price is a win they earned. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The veteran additions, Tyler Guyton chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
