The board owed the Commanders one, and it paid up: Kyren Lacy, the No. 134 name on the board, sitting there at slot 202 like a gift left on the doorstep. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Every board in the league had Turner lower, and that gap is the story.

It is not that Ransom is a bad player; it is that the Commanders had louder needs to answer first. They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
