The Packers bet big and early on Isaiah Davis, 22 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right.

They will answer for taking safety early while edge rusher, quarterback and other spots went begging. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They banked enough surplus on Grable to cover a lot of smaller sins.

On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
