The board owed the Bears one, and it paid up: Jake Slaughter, the No. 54 name on the board, sitting there at slot 91 like a gift left on the doorstep. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

Every board in the league had Dennis-Sutton lower, and that gap is the story. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
