When a board-topper like Isaiah Williams slides to the 252nd overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the Bengals did not.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The Bengals indulged a want in Solomon while a need in linebacker and quarterback stayed open.

Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. If Sinnott pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, linebacker very much included.
