Grand theft in Round 3, Pick 25: the Packers steal Sainristil and grade out a B-.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Packers were there to profit. Mike Sainristil, the No. 66 name on the board, should have been long gone before slot 88. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Jackson Powers-Johnson
In No. 25 they get a plug-and-play piece up front at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick41 Rnd2 Graham Barton
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Graham Barton at Round 2, Pick 9 is the proof. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick58 Rnd2 Braden Fiske
A clean, defensible pick in the 58th pick with a little surplus value in Braden Fiske. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick88 Rnd3 Mike Sainristil
Steal is underselling it; Mike Sainristil at pick 88 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick91 Rnd3 Jaden Hicks
The board fumbled Jaden Hicks all the way to slot 91, and they scooped it up. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick125 Rnd4 Cedric Gray
Cedric Gray in the Round 4 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick168 Rnd5 Jarrian Jones
They barely believed it either: Jarrian Jones still on the board at the 168th overall pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick201 Rnd6 Jase McClellan
A quiet steal in pick No. 201: Jase McClellan for less than the market said. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick219 Rnd6 Nathan Thomas
The board had Nathan Thomas higher than slot 219, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick245 Rnd7 Tyler Owens
They let Tyler Owens come to them and pounced at the Round 7 slot. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Pick255 Rnd7 KT Leveston
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing KT Leveston in pick 255. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
