Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Packers, and a B- to prove it.

Some picks age like wine; Khalid Duke at slot 245 will need to, sitting 46 spots clear of his grade. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

They banked enough surplus on Jones to cover a lot of smaller sins. The Gray pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, wide receiver and other spots still on the board.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Troy Fautanu
In the 25th pick they get a cornerstone up front at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick41 Rnd2 Jordan Morgan
Nothing to complain about; Jordan Morgan went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick58 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Edgerrin Cooper at the 58th overall pick is the proof. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick88 Rnd3 Mike Sainristil
A tidy bit of business in the Round 3 slot, where Mike Sainristil graded well above the range. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick91 Rnd3 Cole Bishop
Cole Bishop in pick No. 91 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick126 Rnd4 Cedric Gray
The needs board was loud and they turned it down, spending Round 4, Pick 26 on Cedric Gray with quarterback, wide receiver and other spots unsolved.
Pick169 Rnd5 Grayson Murphy
Grayson Murphy in pick 169 is fair value, right on his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick202 Rnd6 Kendall Milton
Kendall Milton in No. 202 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick219 Rnd6 Logan Lee
Logan Lee slid further than he should have, and Round 6, Pick 44 is lovely value for the interior defensive lineman. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick245 Rnd7 Khalid Duke
Khalid Duke at the 245th pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick255 Rnd7 Sheridan Jones
Circle this one: Sheridan Jones at the 255th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
