Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Hopper should have been long gone. The Packers pounced, and earned a B-.

Somebody in the Round 6 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Packers sat still while Ty'Ron Hopper, the No. 181 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Every board in the league had Bishop lower, and that gap is the story.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Cooper DeJean
In the 25th overall pick they get a lockdown presence outside at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick41 Rnd2 Troy Fautanu
Troy Fautanu at Round 2, Pick 9 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick58 Rnd2 Zach Frazier
Zach Frazier at slot 58 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick88 Rnd3 Austin Booker
They read the board right and Austin Booker was the payoff at No. 88. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick91 Rnd3 Cole Bishop
They paid a round early for Cole Bishop in the 91st pick, more than the board wanted. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick126 Rnd4 Cedric Gray
Value with a capital V on Cedric Gray in pick No. 126, a genuine coup. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick169 Rnd5 Marist Liufau
They did well to land Marist Liufau in pick 169, just ahead of his grade. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Pick202 Rnd6 Ty'Ron Hopper
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Ty'Ron Hopper in the Round 6 slot, plain and simple. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick219 Rnd6 Kendall Milton
Steal is underselling it; Kendall Milton at slot 219 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick245 Rnd7 Nathan Thomas
Nathan Thomas is a better player than the 245th overall pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick255 Rnd7 KT Leveston
KT Leveston in the Round 7 slot is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
