Larceny in the Round 7 slot lands the Chiefs a A-, Washington and all. The Chiefs spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Tahj Washington, the No. 188 name on the board, in slot 233. Just about everything broke right, and the A- follows.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it.
The Chiefs clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. If Polk pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
