It is a puzzling start. The Steelers had quarterback, safety and other spots to solve and reached instead for Zach Frazier, an offensive lineman, at pick No. 51.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. Every board in the league had Frazier lower, and that gap is the story. That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
