Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Commanders were there to profit. Nazir Stackhouse, the No. 214 name on the board, should have been long gone before slot 247.

The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Winston Jr. pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at tight end and quarterback. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
